Band Dues


As with all things in life, there are certain costs involved with operating a band program - such as purchasing, maintaining and repairing equipment (instruments, uniforms, etc), staff, training, transportation and music. Therefore a "fair share" portion of the operating costs for the marching program will need to be paid by each band member.


With all of the above in mind, Mr. York has carefully figured a budget for the year, and, taking into consideration the number of expected students, as well as current economic conditions, has managed to keep the costs at a minimum since reducing the "fair share" amount some years ago. These figures represent the current band student costs for the upcoming marching season:


  • Retreat $130
  • Band Camp $75
  • "Fair Share" $250

Fundraisers have been set up for every student to raise the amount of their monthly fair share payment and be paid off by Thanksgiving. If you choose to not take advantage of the fundraising opportunities then you may pay by check in the bandroom, or by clicking on the Pay Pal link below.


Also, we would be happy to accept any donations from the community. If you would like to make a donation to a specific student please note that student’s name on the Memo line, or you can mark it as “scholarship” or “general fund”.


The “Hurricane Band Boosters” is a 501-C3 non-profit organization and your donation may be tax-deductible. Contact Mr. York at the bandroom for more information.
